英语学习的难点之一就是有些单词，分配了不一样的介词或副词等，表达的意思可以有很大的差异。
air就是这样一个我们都了解的词汇，标明“空气”

1，by air是“乘飞机”的意思，恰当于“by plane”

4，on (the) air意
为“播送，在播映”，它可不是“在天上”的意思！
A new show will be on the air in two weeks.
一个新节目将在两周后播出。
It's her first time to go on the air as presenter.
这是她初度以掌管人的身份上电视。
The popular television series Friends was on the air for ten years before it finally ended.
广受等待的电视接连剧《老友记》在播出十年后总算闭幕了。
在标明“播送，在播映”时，on (the) air的the可以省掉。
5，be walking on air 很高兴，不是“在天上走”
After I received the university admission notice, I was walking on airfor the rest of the Summer.
收到大学选择告诉书后，我整个暑假都很开心。
On the last day of school, all the children were walking on air.
在学期的最终一天，一切的孩子个个都欢天喜地的。
6，thin air 无影无踪；了无踪影；随意，不必定是“冷漠的空气”
I never heard about
them again. It seems as if they just vanished into thin air.
我再也没传闻过他们。他们如同随意不见了相同。
You need to work hard—opportunities don't just come out of thin air.
你需要尽力作业，机缘不是随意而来的。
