在我后台可能是常见的问题除了 “你为什么叫王霸胆？”，就是 “怎么学好英语语法？”
首先，我想说明一下，对你来说英语语法比较难，但是英语其实算是一个语法非常简单的语言。跟日语、阿拉伯语、以及匈牙利语比，英语语法真实小菜一碟。
虽然学语法有一点难度，但是我希望你记住一句话：it could be much, much worse.
既然要学习语法，首先我们得知道，语法到底是什么玩意儿？那么，想要回答这个问题，我们得先理清楚，语言到底是什么玩意儿？
at it’s very basic, language is just a bunch of sounds, put together in a specific order. the goal of a language is to communicate.
简单地说，语言只是一团有秩序的声音，而语言的目的，就是为了沟通。
actually, a language is a lot like a society. the sounds are the people. people like to do crazy things. they like to dance. they like to party. they like to get drunk and do wild things.
what’s to stop people from going crazy and hurting each other? the law. the law stops us from stealing from people or hurting one another. and who enforces the law? the police.
其实，语言这个东西，很像是一个社会。声音就是这个社会中的人，人们很爱玩：爱跳舞、爱去party嗨、爱喝酒。那么，既然声音这么乱，谁会维护法律秩序呢？警察。
grammar is a lot like the language police. grammar makes sure that the sounds stay in order. it forces the sounds to behave in a responsible manner, so everyone can understand what is being said, and communication happens.without grammar, there would be linguistic anarchy.
那么语法，也就像语言中的警察一样。语法会保证这团声音有秩序地玩。这样大家才能沟通起来。如果没有语法，那么结果就是语言混乱。
every time you learn a new piece of grammar, you are helping society (your english) become a more orderly place. to put it another way, imagine that your english is a messy room. every new grammar you learn cleans up the room a little bit.
每次你学会一个语法，你就是在给你的英语社会执行法律，让你的英语变得更加秩序。换一个比喻来讲，若你的英语是一间乱七八糟的房间，那么每次学语法，就是给这个房间打扫卫生。
now that we understand what grammar is, the question 
comes: how do we learn it?
现在知道语法是什么玩意儿，那么问题来了，如何学会语法？
we have to train it, of course! for a policeman to be effective at his job, he needs to be trained. for you to speak with correct grammar, you need to train it.
当然，我们要训练它！有战斗力的警察，是训练出来的。有秩序的英语语法，也是训练出来的。
today i’m going to give you five tips on how to train your grammar. then at the end, i’ll give you a list of the grammar i recommend you learn first. so let’s go!
今天我会告诉你5个方法，让你的英语学习变得更有效。最后，我会推荐一些语法给你学习。好的，那我们开始学习语法吧！
1、learn it one piece at a time
一次只学一个语法点
grammar isn’t rice. you can’t eat a bowl of it and digest it quickly. it’s like a really meaty chicken foot. you just sit there gnawing and gnawing and gnawing, until you’ve picked all the meat off.
语法并不像米饭，能一口吞下。语法更像是一个多肉的鸡爪，要一直啃一直啃，啃到肉都啃完了。
the best way to learn grammar is to pick a piece you want to master, and only 
focus on practicing that piece of grammar until you have mastered it. then move onto the next piece.
想要学好语法，最好的方法是：选择一个你想要掌握的语法点，花一周的时间只练这个语法点，直到你掌握它，才开始练下一个语法点。
for example, maybe we want to master plurals in english. we would first learn how to use “s” at the end of nouns. then we would learn about countable and uncountable nouns.
譬如说，我们想要掌握英语的复数语法点。我们先花一周学会在名词后面加s，然后再花一周练可数和不可数的名词。
2、compare with your mother language
和中文语法进行比较
the human brain loves comparing and contrasting. a great way to master grammar is by comparing its usage in english with chinese. does this grammar exist in chinese? if so, is it used in the exact same way, or is it different?
人类的大脑喜欢进行比较。我们可以通过对比英语和中文的语法，巩固新的语法点。每次遇到新的语法，可以问自己下面的问题：中文有没有这个语法？如果有，用法一样吗？有哪些区别？
by discovering these exceptions, you make it easier for your brain to remember and use the 
grammar when you need it.
通过发现这些区别和例外，你可以使大脑更容易记住和运用新的语法点。
you’ll also become familiar with words and concepts related to language learning you didn’t know before, which will make you a stronger language learner.
此外，你会顺便了解语言学的一些词汇和概念，瞬间就能变成更强的语言学习者。
in the example about plurals above, if we compared with chinese, we would realize that chinese doesn’t typically use plural nouns, so when we are speaking english, we need to pay extra attention to ensure we don’t make mistakes.
在上面的例子里，如果我们拿英语的复数语法点跟中文对比，我们会发现中文很少用复数，所以我们讲英语的时候，会更关注到这一点。
3、use it whenever you can
专注训练一个语法点
choose one piece of grammar to practice each week, and use every opportunity you can to practice that grammar. practice it in the shower. practice it on the bus. practice it with your language partner.
每周选一个语法点练习，随时随刻练习这个语法点。在洗澡？练习。坐公交车？练习。跟朋友逛街？练习！！
you might 
say, one piece of grammar per week? that’s too slow, i want to learn faster. actually, one piece of grammar per week is extremely fast. if you learned one new grammar per week for the next 6 months, you would completely master all english grammar.
你可能会说，一周才学一个点？这样太慢，我想要快速学习。其实，一周一个点的节奏已经算是非常快了。如果你每周掌握一个语法点，6个月后你就会彻底掌握英语的语法。
4、be patient
要有足够的耐心
it takes time for our brain to adapt to new knowledge. just knowing the grammar rule isn’t enough. you have to be able to apply it in a variety of situations, and to do this, you need to spend time practicing.
我们的大脑吸收和适应新的信息，需要时间。认识或者了解语法不够，你得学会在不同的语境里，运用这个语法。学会运用需要你花时间练习。
don’t worry if it’s taking you longer than you expected to master a piece of grammar. practice it for a little, and then take a break and come back to it later. if that still doesn’t work, try activating a different part of your brain. write a song using the grammar, or create a story about it.
如果你发现你花了很多时间学一个语法点，但是还没有掌握，没关系！这个很正常！继续练习，然后休息一下，再继续练习。如果这样还不行，你可以试试用大脑另一个部分。用这个语法写一首歌，或者一个故事。
as long as you continue practicing, you will eventually get it. how do you know when you’ve mastered it?
只要你继续练习，你终究会掌握。掌握语法是什么样的感觉呢？
5、keep studying until you reach an “aha” moment
不断学习，直到你掌握它为止
you’ll know once you mastered the grammar. you will feel confident using it, and you’ll wonder how you ever spoke this language without it. good grammar is sexy, so you’ll want to show it off to everyone.
当你掌握语法的时候，你将会知道。你将会觉得自己用这个语法，变得更加自信。你会惊奇地想，我之前怎么没掌握啊？
although many people may think learning grammar is dull, to come back to the analogies earlier, learning grammar is like cleaning your room. it’s just something you have to do, and you feel great once you’ve done it.
虽然很多人觉得学习语法无聊无趣，但是回答前面的比喻，学语法就像打扫房间一样。你必须这么做，而且做完会很有成就感。
so get out there and start learning some grammar!
