这句话的翻译中隐藏了一个翻译时很重要的知识点：被动句的翻译中文表达被动时有很多方法，大多数情况下是不会直接把“被”翻译到句子里（因为“被”出现时一般表示贬义，而且这种用法很少见），这种时候，我们一般会采用两种方法：一是利用动词来传达整个句子的意思，比如我们把上面的例句翻译成了“战后教堂得到了精心修复”而不是“战后教堂被精心修复”。我们在平时的翻译中也要注意，否则就会出现“四不像”的作品。
在这里我推荐武峰老师的《十二天突破英汉翻译》这本书及相关课程，个人觉得书里面提到的翻译方法很实用，而且书中给出的例句也很典型，感兴趣的小伙伴可以去康康。

2. to make someone remember something
refresh somebody’s memory 使某人想起，唤起某人的记忆e.g. I looked at the map to refresh my memory of the route.

修复，整修，翻新
