上述这类题型的训练，可以达到有效监测同学们对词义和词形的掌握程度。

【解析】

1、apologize

句意：你必须为你的如此粗鲁向你的姐姐道歉。

apologize to sb for sth

因某事向某人道歉

2、drown

句意：不要靠近河边玩耍，以防你掉进去并溺死。

drown是不及物动词，和fall

in是并列关系

3、only

句意：花更少的钱，是（解决）他资金问题的唯一办法。

only作

定语修饰answer

4、wipe

句意：他从口袋掏出手绢擦鼻子。

所缺单词与pulled是并列关系，因此应填过去式，wiped符

合题意。

5、reminded

句意：这首歌使我想起了我的家乡。

remind sb of sth 使某人想起某时，该句话用一般过去时

较为恰当，因此填reminded
