Campus
According to a survey, in recent years the monthly expenditure of a collegestudent has been on the sharp rise. Many college students have no concept ofthrift in their mind. They take it for granted that they spend money from theirparents before they enter into the society. This extravagant spending isprimarily caused by the following factors.
First of all, nowadays most of the students are the only children of theirfamilies. They are the apple in their family’s eyes and naturally get more careand pocket money. In addition, with the improvement of living standards, parentscan afford higher expenditure of their children. Moreover, some students like topursue fashion and 
trends, which tend to need more money. Finally, campus loveis also a possible factor causing extravagant spending.
From my point of view, a college student, as a pure consumer, should learnto be thrifty. We should limit our expenditure on daily necessities but not buywhatever we want regardless of their prices. The habit of thrift can help usform right values and is favorable to our future development.
