我们很多人每天都在做大量“英语阅读”，或为考试愿意或被迫消耗此时间，或为单纯的学习兴趣。但是我们可曾想过：我们所谓的“英语阅读”里总是缺少点什么“味儿”？
缺少的就是（英语）阅读“总是使人进步”的元素和能力。
缺失了这样“进步”元素的所谓“英语阅读”，你平日里英语就算“读的再多”也是“白读”：更精确一点，也就是白白浪费自己不可逆的时间精力，也就是自己生命。
所以，会“节约”自己生命的人，既然“读”英语，一定是要让自己的（英语）阅读读得“总是使人进步”才叫（英语）阅读。
（英语）阅读“总是使人进步”到底是什么样的“东西”？
（英语）阅读“总是使人进步”的阅读，一定是你边“读”边把自己学过的已知的英语“用起来”的阅读，也就是你的英语“横向知识”结构在不断发生“发酵”的阅读，而不是“读”再多也只是让你的汉语思维一直在“陪读”的所谓（英语）“阅读”。
从小学开始就一直用汉语“陪读”才能“读”，也才能“读懂”的英语阅读，一定不是阅读“总是使人进步”的“阅读”。
The South Korean government on Thursday announced a plan to release 3.17 million barrels of crude oil from a reserve into the market, gradually from January to March next year, local media reported, as a contribution to a U.S.-led campaign to ease oil prices.

South Korea has decided to release 3.17 million barrels of oil from its reserves from January to March next year in a globally coordinated effort to stabilize prices and stimulate economic recovery, the Ministry of Trade Industry and Energy said on Thursday.
The decision comes a month after the country agreed to participate in the joint release of oil reserves in response to a request from the United States.
"In addition to stabilizing oil prices, the latest release is expected to help resolve instability in refiners' oil supply and prevent supply disruptions amid higher demand for petroleum products during the winter season," Vice Minister Park Ki-young said.
Of the 3.17 million barrels – 3.3 percent of the total 97 million barrels of oil reserves – some 2.08 million barrels of crude will be released to local refiners through rental agreement, while the other 1.09 million barrels of petroleum products will be released through a bidding process.

如果没有“现成”的，你要想阅读“使人进步”，你一定也可以调动你学过的已知的英语知识reserve，做如下完整“英语思维”（也就是把学过的已知的英语用起来的能力）的表述（口语？）：

这就是“总是使人进步”的英语阅读，所以我喜欢“把英语学成英语”。课文其它内容就没必要逐字逐句翻译成汉语来“陪读”了，都是没有意义（不会“使人进步”的阅读）。
不过，CN的四六级英语考试似乎对这种“使人进步”的学习方法“不感兴趣”，“感兴趣”的唯有：分分分，学生的命根。
