Friends是史上最有名、最受欢迎的电视剧之一，总共十季，获奖无数。Friends的中文译名为《老友记》或者《六人行》，想必很多网友都是它的粉丝，对里面的人物和情节都记忆深刻。Friends里有很多幽默的对白，也有很多令人感动的情节，今天我们一起来看看第六季Chandler（钱德勒）向Monica（莫妮卡）求婚的场景。
当时Chandler已经计划向Monica求婚了，但是为了给她惊喜，他故意装出不想结婚的样子，令Monica感到失望，而这个时候，Monica的前男友Richard从非洲回来了，找到Monica，想让Monica回心转意，他在厨房跟Monica说了一段非常动人的话，以下为节选。
Richard: I still love you. I know I shouldn't even be here telling you this. After seeing you, I knew if I didn't tell you I'd always regret it. Letting you go was the stupidest thing I ever did. I want to spend my life with you and marry you. I want to have kids with you.
Richard对Monica说“我还爱着你，知道不应该在这里告诉你，但是见到你之后，我知道如果我不告诉你，我会后悔的。让你离开是我这辈子做过的最愚蠢的事，我想和你共度余生，娶你，和你生儿育女。”
可惜已经太晚了，Monica心有所属，拒绝了Richard。
Monica: I'm sorry, but it's not gonna happen.
“非常抱歉，一切都不可能了。”
Richard也认了，爽快地答应不再干扰Monica的生活。
Richard: That's fine. I'll walk away. And I'll never bother you again.
“好吧，我会离开的，而
且我永远不再打扰你。”
此时的Monica其实内心挺纠结的，因为她很想结婚，有个男人跟他表白，但是她爱的男人却不想结婚。后来她甚至回去找了Richard。此时的Chandler也着急了，感觉自己把事情搞砸了，赶紧回去找Monica。当他找到Monica时，却发现Monica已经知道他想给自己惊喜，于是反过来给了Chandler惊喜。布置得非常温馨浪漫的房间里，上演了Friends系列最温馨、感人的一幕。
Monica: You wanted it to be a surprise. In all my life, I never thought I would be so lucky, as to fall in love with my best... There's a reason why girls don't do this!
激动的Monica已经不知道怎么说，“所以说都是男的在求婚嘛！”看到这里，Chandler才反应过来，赶紧也跪下来，向Monica求婚。
Chandler: I thought that it mattered what I said or where I said it. Then I realized the only thing that matters is that you make me happier than I ever thought I could be. And if you let me. I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way. Monica, will you marry me?
