When you apply for a job, you have to compete with many other people. Having a university degree helps set you apart from the other people. My brother put off going to university for a few years, and he had a really hard time finding a job. He then went back to finish his degree, and is now a successful manager of a large store. A university education also helps prepare you for a more successful career. You will not find a person with a bachelor’s degree working as a store clerk, for example.
