Winter

当一条条冰柱檐前悬吊，

汤姆把木块向屋内搬送，

牧童狄克呵着他的指爪，

刺骨的寒气，泥泞的路途，

大眼睛的鸱鸮夜夜高呼：

哆呵！

哆喴，哆呵！它歌唱着欢喜，

当油垢的琼转她的锅子。

当怒号的北风漫天吹响，

咳嗽打断了牧师的箴言，

鸟雀们在雪里缩住颈项，

玛利恩冻得红肿了鼻尖，

炙烤的螃蟹在锅内吱喳，

大眼睛的鸱鸮夜夜喧哗：
